‘Chronicle of a Passion’ by Italian filmmaker Fabrizio Cattani wins three awards at the International Urban Film Festival.

The film bagged the best film, best director and best actress award at the 6th edition of the Iranian event.

‘Chronicle of a Passion’ narrates the story of Giovanni and Anna who are a married couple in their sixties.

They have lived together all their lives, with honestly and dignity. Transferred to a group home by the social services, forced to live apart and in degrading conditions, the spouses will do anything to get their lives back.

The International Urban Film Festival’s main focus is on the significance of city and urbanism in human life.

The event also seeks to promote empathy and moral values in cinematic works and offers a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences among the cities of the world.

Organized by the Art and Culture Organization of Tehran Municipality, the festival’s film categories include Iranian Cinema (competition), International Cinema (competition) and Neighborhood section.
